Kathleen Bennewitz is an accomplished art curator and museum director currently serving as the Executive Director at the Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center since October 2021. With extensive experience in art curation, Kathleen has held the position of Town Curator for the Town of Westport, CT, since April 2013, managing a collection of over 1,500 objects by prominent artists. Previous roles include Independent Curator and Museum/Exhibition Consultant, Special Exhibition Curator at Lockwood Mathews Mansion Museum, and Director of Exhibitions and Programs at both the Fairfield Museum and History Center and the Greenwich Historical Society. Kathleen's foundation in art and archaeology comes from an AB degree from Princeton University and an MA in Art History from the University of Delaware, alongside earlier curatorial positions at notable institutions such as the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
