Courtney Peters-Manning currently serves as the Mayor of Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey, having been elected to the Township Committee in 2019 and re-elected in 2022, with prior roles as Deputy Mayor in 2021 and 2023. In addition to political responsibilities, Courtney holds the position of Director of Finance and General Counsel at The Cambridge School since July 2009, managing all financial aspects of the K-12 institution while overseeing the business office. Prior legal experience includes serving as an attorney in the Administrative/Environmental Department at Foley Hoag LLP, where environmental and energy-related matters were addressed, along with notable pro bono efforts. Early career roles encompassed environmental consulting as a Senior Analyst at The Cadmus Group, and research coordination at Brandeis University, alongside experience as a dolphin trainer and intern. Courtney earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brown University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School.
