Michael Ruger

Michael Ruger is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government affairs and communications. Currently serving as a member of the Hopewell Township Committee in Mercer County, New Jersey, Michael held the position of Mayor in 2023. As Vice President of Local Government Affairs Policy and Operations for Comcast since April 2003, Michael leads efforts addressing franchising, network expansion, and new product services for over 6,000 communities. Michael's career includes prior roles at the Federal Communications Commission, where Michael worked in the Mass Media and Cable Bureaus, and as a Senior Associate at Baker & Hostetler LLP. Michael Ruger holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA in Political Science and Psychology from Penn State University.
