Jim Makela

Jim Makela has extensive experience in information technology management, currently serving as the Director of Information Technology for the Township of Langley since June 2009, after holding roles such as Senior Manager and Manager of Technical Services. Prior to this, Jim owned and served as a Senior Consultant for Mintaka Solutions, specializing in IT management for small to medium businesses. Career progression includes key positions at TCG International, Advanced Information Solutions, Glaspac Total Solutions, Autosoft Systems, and F.W. Woolworth, spanning roles from Programmer/Analyst to Vice-President. Jim's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Liberal and Business Studies from Simon Fraser University and various qualifications in international business and scientific computer programming.
