Mark van der Zalm is a seasoned professional in landscape architecture with extensive experience that spans over two decades. As the Founding Principal Landscape Architect at VDZ+A Consulting since June 1999, Mark has contributed to the field through various roles, including serving as an Advisory Board Member at Valley Commons Winery and as a Partner/Senior Landscape Architect at New Line Skateparks. Mark holds leadership positions, such as President of the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation and a board member for the Heritage Review Panel with the Township of Langley. Formerly, Mark served influential roles in the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects, including Chairperson of the Board of Examiners and President. Educational credentials include a Master of Landscape Architecture & Environmental Planning from Utah State University and a BA in History & Criminology from Simon Fraser University.
