Brian Miyata

Brian Miyata, MS, currently serves as an Emergency Medical Technician for both the Township of North Bergen and Edgewater First Aid Squad since September 2021. Brian has a diverse background in clinical and research roles, including a Clinical and Translational Science Intern position at NJ ACTS, where a systematic review on patient recruitment in decentralized clinical trials was conducted under the mentorship of Nadina Jose, MD. Previous experience includes research assistant roles at Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine and Science, and Drexel University, focusing on respiratory medicine and microtubule dynamics, respectively. Additionally, Brian held various leadership positions at Pi Lambda Phi, where organizational vision and goals were established. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Drexel University.
