James Morin, CBCO, has extensive experience in building and safety management, currently serving as Chief Building Official for the Township of South Stormont since January 2022, after previously holding the role of Deputy Chief Building Official. Prior experience includes a tenure at the City of Cornwall where James held positions from Deputy Chief Building Official to Building Official I, demonstrating a progressive career in building services. James initially gained experience as an Administrative Assistant/Inspector in South Stormont and later with various roles at Lowe’s Companies Canada and Walmart Canada, focusing on loss prevention and safety. James holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Criminology from the University of Ottawa and a College Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Algonquin College.
