Susan Hammond

Susan Hammond, DNP, MBA, RN, NE-BC, is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Towson University since August 2022. Prior to this role, Susan served as the Assistant Director of Nursing for Emergency, Medicine and Critical Care at GBMC HealthCare from November 2019 to August 2022. Susan's nursing career includes a position in Nursing Administration at Johns Hopkins Intrastaff from September 2014 to November 2019, as well as experience as a Facility Administrator at DaVita Kidney Care between April 2010 and October 2017. Earlier in the career, Susan worked as an RN - Charge Nurse at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center from August 2003 to April 2010. Susan holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing Administration from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2019), an MBA in Nursing Administration from the University of Baltimore (2008), and both a Master of Science (MS) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Maryland Baltimore (2007 and 2003, respectively).
