Mike Schade is an accomplished environmental advocate with extensive experience in promoting toxic-free initiatives. As the Mind the Store Campaign Director at Toxic-Free Future since January 2014, Mike leads efforts to encourage retailers to eliminate hazardous chemicals, evaluating their progress through an annual Retailer Report Card. Prior to this role, Mike served on the Board of Directors for Neighbors Allied for Good Growth from 2015 to 2020, focusing on environmental and community advocacy in North Brooklyn. Mike's commitment to environmental health was also demonstrated as a Steering Committee Member of the McGolrick Park Neighborhood Alliance and as the Markets Campaign Coordinator at the Center for Health, Environment & Justice, where campaigns targeted the reduction of toxic materials. Earlier career experience includes directing the Buffalo office of the Citizens' Environmental Coalition from 2001 to 2005, addressing critical environmental health issues. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University at Buffalo.
