Mayumi Matsumoto

Mayumi Matsumoto is an accomplished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in renewable energy and environmental issues. Since May 2008, Mayumi has served as a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo while also holding key positions as Director at TOYODA GOSEI CO. LTD. and the Japan Council for Renewable Energy since June 2019 and July 2017, respectively. Additionally, Mayumi is a Senior Fellow and Director at the International Environment and Economy Institute. Earlier career roles include Project Researcher at the University of Tokyo from May 2008 to March 2014 and a prominent news anchor and reporter at NHK BS1 from April 1991 to March 1997, along with freelance reporting from April 1997 to April 2008. Education was completed at Sophia University.
