Runzhou Zhou

Runzhou Zhou is a CAE Engineer at Toyoda Gosei Americas, specializing in Safety System airbag and occupant simulations using LS-DYNA to assess performance during various impact scenarios since July 2021. Previously, Runzhou Zhou served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University, focusing on the mechanical properties and failure criteria of vehicle batteries from July 2020 to July 2021. Runzhou Zhou's extensive experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wayne State University from 2009 to 2020 includes developing advanced biomechanical models to predict traumatic brain injuries, improving finite element models for eye injury protection, and conducting studies on shoulder-glenoid implant biomechanics. Runzhou Zhou holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University, completed in May 2020.
