Jerel Unruh

Jerel Unruh is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer in UI/UX at Toyota Connected North America since June 2017, focusing on the development of next-generation in-vehicle software using Flutter and Rust. Prior to this role, Jerel operated Unruh Designs as an independent contractor from November 2008 to June 2017, where various networked applications and devices were built and maintained for a global clientele, utilizing advanced technologies like websockets and file reader integration. Additional experience includes a developer role at nGen Works, contributing to a modern web application for aviation clients, and involvement at PyroCMS as a Business Manager and Developer, facilitating open-source development and community engagement. Earlier in the career, Jerel owned and operated Jed's Auto, a collision repair shop, before redirecting focus to software development.
