Linda Hung

Linda Hung is an experienced manager in the Energy & Materials Division at Toyota Research Institute, focusing on the integration of simulation, experiment, data, and AI to accelerate materials design and discovery since September 2017. Prior roles include Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, contributing to computational neutron scattering and inelastic neutron spectroscopy within a density-functional theory framework. Academic experience includes postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ecole Polytechnique, and Princeton University, specializing in many-body theories for nanostructures, excited-state properties, and orbital-free electronic structure. Linda Hung holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Princeton University, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics and Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
