Cindy Wang

Cindy Wang is group vice president of treasury and indirect procurement for Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). In her treasury role, Wang is responsible for leading efforts to enhance the company’s liquidity, funding diversification, balance sheet flexibility, and risk management framework to support the long-term growth of the company’s business, as well as weather volatility and uncertainty. Leading the indirect procurement team, Wang focuses on ensuring the organization has the goods and services necessary for the company to operate, sourcing from a diverse range of suppliers.

In both her roles, Wang emphasizes building a flexible and agile organization with an innovative culture by developing and acquiring the right talent and investing in effective technology solutions. Serving both TFS and TMNA, Wang is dedicated to leveraging the scale and skillsets of the shared services teams to most effectively deliver value to the entire Toyota organization.

Wang joined TFS in 2005 as a liquidity projects manager. Prior to joining the company, she had professional and managerial experience in finance, tax, accounting, pension management, fixed income investments, and liquidity management. She leveraged her diverse experience and broad vision to transform enterprise cash management practices at TFS. This led to her promotion to national manager in 2007.

Following her success in building a scalable and flexible treasury platform and transforming the entire treasury operation, she was promoted to corporate manager of cash management, operations and systems in 2010. In 2011, her responsibilities expanded to include treasury risk; again in 2013 to include capital markets, derivatives and rate desk, and sales and trading; and in 2017 to include the TFS vendor management office. Wang was promoted to group vice president in December of 2017.

Over the course of 2019-2020, Wang’s responsibilities expanded to include the TMNA treasury function and the TMNA indirect procurement function, forming two shared services groups to deliver enhanced enterprise value to Toyota. In 2020, Wang was appointed to chair the global funding committee for the TFS group of international companies.
