Mark Dejongh

Chief Engineer, Avalon & Advanced Vehicle Projects, Product Development Office at Toyota Motor Corporation

Mark DeJongh is a Chief Engineer in the Product Development Office at Toyota Motor North American Research & Development (TMNA R&D) based in York Township, Michigan. In this position, DeJongh is responsible for overall vehicle development of Avalon and Advanced Vehicle Projects.

DeJongh joined Toyota in 1998 as a design engineer in the Interior Design Engineering department, responsible for various projects including Camry and Solara. In 2005, DeJongh joined the Product Development Office working on Venza packaging and then promoted to Program Manager for RAV4 EV and Avalon. DeJongh spent 2014-2015 at Toyota Motor Corporation in Toyota City, Japan where he led concept planning for the 2019 Avalon.

DeJongh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.
