Srini Matam is group vice president, Powertrain and Shared Services, Production Engineering located in PEMC building in Georgetown, Kentucky. Matam is responsible for Safety, Environmental, Facilities engineering and Electrification Strategy and Planning for Powertrain.
Prior to his role as group vice president, Matam served as the president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, West Virginia, Inc. (TMMWV) where he was responsible for all manufacturing and administrative functions. With more than 22 years of experience with Toyota, Matam has served in various general manager roles, including manufacturing of drivetrains, engines and axles. As a General manager of IT he was responsible for systems related to quality, human resources, purchasing, supply chain business process and manufacturing skills training.
Matam serves on several external boards including Education Alliance, Discover Real West Virginia, Clay Center, University of Charleston, West Virginia Chamber of Commerce and supports all TMMWV’s Business Partnering Groups that include Spectrum, African American Collaborative, Women Influencing and Impacting Toyota, Toyota Veterans Association and Young Professionals. He received a bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering from SUV College of Engineering, India and master’s degree in Production Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India.
