With substantial planning experience, Donald is one of tp bennett’s key town planning experts, and has a comprehensive knowledge of managing planning applications and leading negotiations to secure consents.

Over three decades, Donald’s experience has encompassed both the public and private sector, working for a number of London boroughs and the Greater London Authority (GLA). He was also town planning and regeneration manager at the Olympic Delivery Authority, where he was responsible for the delivery of the planning permissions for the Velodrome and for the Eton Manor part of the Olympic Park. He retains strong connections with decision makers across London and in the GLA.

While at tp bennett, Donald has been involved in a number of complex projects from inception to completion, including student accommodation, office developments, business parks, mixed-use residential schemes and schools.

Donald’s years of experience give him substantial expertise in providing robust and reliable advice, identifying and resolving planning risks, working out strategic solutions with key stakeholders, and negotiating client objectives in political environments, to secure planning permissions that can be fully delivered.
