Maritza Myers

Maritza Myers is principal of a consulting business with a primary focus on non-profit management and political fundraising. Ms. Myers has expertise in grants management, prospect research, strategic planning, program development and program administration. Her company, MEMJ Consulting primarily provides professional support to small nonprofits and community-based organizations, focusing primarily on capacity building. During 25 years at National Medical Fellowships (NMF) 1980 to 2005), Ms. Myers was responsible for increasing the number of scholarship, fellowship and merit award programs the organization offered from 6 to 22, including a $7 million fellowship program that provided funding to 30 PhD candidates pursuing doctorates in the area of health disparities. Ms. Myers rose to the position of Senior Vice President for Programs and Chief Operating Officer of that organization before leaving to start her own consulting business. Ms. Myers also worked as Senior Project Officer for Health Careers Opportunity Programs with the National Council of Negro Women and the National Scholarships Service and Fund for Negro Students.

BMCC Tribeca PAC strives to present a broad global perspective through the presentation of high quality artistic work in music, theater, dance, film and visual arts. We support emerging and established artists who create, inspire creativity and imagination, celebrate diversity and change, as well as instill emotional, social, and political awareness.
