Mehmet Hazar

Mehmet Hazar is a seasoned geoscientist currently working at Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. in the Basin Analysis and Petroleum System Modeling Directorate since October 2016. Mehmet holds a Master of Science in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, where the thesis focused on the tectonostratigraphic evolution of the Offshore Eastern Otway Basin in Australia under the guidance of Dr. Bruce Trudgill. Prior to this, Mehmet gained experience as an intern hydrogeologist at Rio Tinto and worked as a geological engineer at AECOM. Early career internships included roles at Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. in various departments. Mehmet also earned a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Anadolu Üniversitesi.
