Wade Russell has a diverse work experience in the field of hockey. Wade started their career in 2012 as the Head of Hockey at TPH Academy, where they focused on player development and conducted summer development camps. In 2014, Wade worked as an Assistant Coach/Trainer for the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs Major PeeWee team. Wade then joined the London Ice Dawgs Youth Hockey Club in 2018 as the Head On-Ice Instructor, responsible for planning and leading practice sessions for young players. In 2020, Wade undertook a Management Internship with the London Knights Hockey Club, assisting with hockey operations and player analysis. Currently, they serve as an Assistant Coach for the Men's Ice Hockey team at Western University and also works as an Occasional Teacher with the Thames Valley District School Board. Wade's experience also includes a stint as the Director of Operations for the University of New Brunswick Men's hockey program. Throughout their career, they have consistently demonstrated a commitment to player development and a people-first approach.

Wade Russell's education history is as follows:

- From 2021 to 2022, Wade attended St. Thomas University in Canada and obtained a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree with a focus on Education.

- Between 2020 and 2022, Wade pursued a Master of Science degree in Sport Coaching & Leadership at the College of Education at Michigan State University.

- Starting in 2014 and lasting until 2020, Wade attended Western University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management.

- From 2014 to 2017, Wade attended King's University College and completed a Bachelor's Degree with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology.

- Prior to pursuing higher education, Wade attended Catholic Central High School from 2009 to 2013.
