Yared Alemu, Ph.D.

Yared Alemu, Ph.D., has a strong background in behavioral health and healthcare technology. Yared is the Founder and CEO of TQIntelligence, Inc., a company that uses voice biomarker technology and artificial intelligence to improve the coordination of care between therapists and payers. Prior to this, they founded Northlake Psychology and Consulting INC, where they advised behavioral health organizations and managed care organizations on transitioning to a new healthcare marketplace focused on collaboration and evidence-based practices.

Dr. Alemu also has experience as the Clinical Director and later the VP of Operations and Clinical Services at ProActive Institute. At Georgia State University, they served as the Interim Director of Clinical Services, Counseling and Testing Center, where they developed a substance abuse program and oversaw the growth of various programs and services. Yared was also the Coordinator of the Integrated Substance Abuse Program at The University of Georgia.

Yared Alemu, Ph.D. has an extensive educational background in the field of psychology. Yared obtained their High School Diploma from Salisbury School in 1990. Yared then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at Georgetown University from 1991 to 1995.

Continuing their education, Yared completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology at the University of West Georgia from 1998 to 2000. Building on their previous qualifications, they enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Counseling Psychology at Auburn University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.

Throughout their academic journey, Yared gained practical experience and internships. Yared participated in a Pre-doctoral Practicum Training program in Clinical Psychology at Emory University School of Medicine during 2001 to 2003. In 2003-2004, they undertook another Pre-doctoral Internship, this time at the Durham Veterans Administration Medical Center, focusing on Clinical Psychology.

After obtaining their Ph.D., Yared further enhanced their expertise by pursuing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology at The University of Georgia from 2004 to 2005.

To complement their education, Yared also earned a certification as a Licensed Psychologist from the Georgia Board of Examiners of Psychologists in December 2005.
