Mike Burgess

Mike Burgess is Vice President of Land and System Planning for Trace Midstream. Mike is responsible for facility planning, land, regulatory compliance, and spatial analysis efforts. He brings 15 years of midstream and energy related experience to Trace.

Prior to joining Trace, Mike spent 13 years with Southwestern Energy, most recently as the GIS Manager of the midstream business unit. During his time at Southwestern Energy, Mike’s teams proved vital in project planning, right of way acquisition efforts, and permitting of over 2,000 miles of pipeline projects in the Arkoma and other basins. Before Southwestern Energy, Mike worked within the Fossil Fuels Division at the Arkansas Geological Survey where he was responsible for spatially analyzing geochemical values for pay zone mapping and subsurface coal seam mapping.

Mike earned undergraduate (summa cum laude) and graduate degrees in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Central Arkansas.
