Kevin Borden

Kevin Borden has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Kevin is currently working at Trace3 as a Regional Principal Engineer since September 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Security Services Engineer at Trace3 from August 2019 to January 2023.

Before Trace3, Kevin served as a Security Services Manager at SYNNEX from July 2018 to August 2019. Kevin also worked at Westcon-Comstor North America as a Network Security Services Consultant from December 2015 to June 2018.

Kevin's earlier positions include roles such as Service Delivery Manager at OnX Managed Services from October 2012 to December 2015, Strategic Account Manager at Enghouse Interactive from July 2007 to October 2012, Inside Sales Account Manager at CDW from October 2003 to July 2007, and Customer Solutions Engineer at Rockwell FirstPoint from August 1999 to September 2003.

Kevin started their career as a System Engineer at Abbott in June 1992, where they served until August 1999. Throughout their career, Kevin has gained expertise in various fields, including security services, network consulting, sales, and engineering.

Kevin Borden graduated from Michigan State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the ITIL v4 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from PeopleCert in February 2023. In 2022, they acquired the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) from HIMSS and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)². In 2017, Kevin obtained the Palo Alto Networks Accredited Systems Engineer (PSE) certification from Palo Alto Networks. Additionally, in 2016, they obtained the ForeScout Certified Engineer certification from ForeScout Technologies Inc., the Palo Alto Networks Accredited Configuration Engineer (ACE) certification from Palo Alto Networks, the ForeScout Certified Instructor certification from ForeScout Technologies Inc., the Blue Coat BCCPA/BCCPP certification from Blue Coat Systems, and the Security+ certification from CompTIA. In 2015, they acquired the ForeScout Certified Administrator certification from ForeScout Technologies Inc. Furthermore, Kevin earned the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2014 and the Forescout Advanced Administrator certification from Forescout Technologies Inc. in March 2020. Additionally, they hold certifications for A+ and Net+ from CompTIA, as well as the Virtualization Essentials Professionals certification from the Cloud Credential Council.
