Sean Kennedy

Sean Dawson is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing real-time features and improving communication platforms. At Udacity, from August 2017 to November 2019, Sean was a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in Python and Go, and played a key role in creating a real-time chat feature for the classroom environment, utilizing technologies such as AWS, Postgres, and Websockets. Previously, at LinkedIn from September 2006 to April 2012, Sean held various positions, including Staff Software Engineer and Engineering Lead, contributing to the Network Updates platform and enhancing communication services. Sean began a career in software development at Texada Software, focusing on Java middleware. Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto between January 2001 and January 2006.
