Alex Garbuz

Alex Garbuz has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Alex began their career at PictureTel as a Software Engineer in 1995 before moving on to Siemens as a Senior Software Engineer in 1996. From 1998 to 2000, they worked at Nortel Networks as a Member of the Scientific Staff. Alex then joined Cisco in 2000, where they held the roles of Software Manager and Manager of Software Development, focusing on the development of IP radio access networks. In 2005, they joined Mavenir Systems as a Senior Director of Engineering and stayed with the company until 2010. Alex subsequently worked at Alcatel-Lucent as a Senior Manager from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Founding Member and VP of Engineering at Entrata Systems Inc., where they introduced a Mobile Web2.0+ Multi-Service Mobile Experience. In 2012, they joined Mitel Mobile Division (previously Mavenir) as a VP of Software Development, overseeing the development and delivery of security and storage products. Finally, since 2016, they have been associated with Tracelink, first as the Director of Platform Development, then as the Senior Director of Data Science, and currently as the VP of Data Engineering and Machine Learning.

Alex Garbuz holds a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University) which was obtained in 1991. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including "Practical Data Science" from Coursera in October 2021, "Machine Learning" from Coursera in June 2017, and "Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM)" from www.scrumalliance.org in August 2016.
