Nele Eykens

Nele Eykens is an accomplished professional in security and risk management with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Chief Security Officer and Independent Nuclear Safety Officer at TRACTEBEL since September 2025, Eykens has held notable roles such as Corporate Security Manager at Umicore from March 2021 to September 2025 and Nuclear Security Operations Manager at ENGIE Electrabel from November 2011 to March 2021. Eykens has actively contributed to ASIS International as a European Board Member since January 2024 and previously chaired the ASIS International Chapter Benelux. With a master's degree in Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and certifications in Risk Management and Health & Safety, Eykens possesses a strong academic foundation to complement professional expertise in security operations and risk management.
