Pascal Geerinck

Pascal Geerinck is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in industrial safety and risk management, currently serving as the Department Manager of Industrial Safety & Risk Management and Section Manager of Risk, Safety, and Environment at TRACTEBEL since March 1993. Geerinck oversees a team of approximately 20 staff members, focusing on safety and environmental support for large industrial projects throughout their lifecycle. Prior experience includes roles as a Nuclear Safety Engineer, managing safety assessments and coordinating safety reviews for nuclear power plants. Additionally, Geerinck is a Lecturer in Operational & Functional Safety at Ghent University and serves as a Risk Management Expert for the IEC, contributing to technical specifications for wind turbine siting risk assessments. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrotechnical & Mechanical Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and various additional training from KU Leuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
