Carl Thompson

Carl Thompson is an experienced merchandise planning professional with a career spanning several prominent companies. Currently serving as a Senior Merchandise Planner at Tractor Supply Company since September 2015, Carl previously held the position of Merchandise Planner for the Animal Division. Prior to this, Carl co-owned Home Care Assistance from August 2017 to January 2022, focusing on non-medical in-home care services. Carl's extensive background also includes a tenure as Director of Merchandise Planning and Control at LifeWay Christian Resources from December 1999 to September 2015, and as Director of Merchandise Planning for Hardlines at Service Merchandise from October 1992 to November 1999. Carl earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of North Alabama, completing the program from 1978 to 1982.
