Gerry O'Reilly has extensive experience in executive roles, primarily as a CFO, in various companies. Gerry served as the CFO of autoTRADER.ca since February 2017. Prior to that, they were the CFO of Quickplay Media, a SAAS provider for video content, from March 2014 to January 2017, leading its sale to AT&T in June 2016. Gerry O'Reilly was also the CFO of Xplornet Communications, Canada's leading rural broadband provider, from May 2008 to May 2014. Gerry managed a team of over 40 finance professionals and successfully closed a C$125M equity and debt financing during their tenure. Before Xplornet, they worked as the CFO of TeraGo Networks, a technology company, from August 2001 to May 2008. During this time, they led TeraGo Networks' initial public offering (IPO) and earned the 2008 IR Magazine Canada Award for Best Investor Relations for an IPO. Prior to their CFO roles, Gerry O'Reilly held managerial positions in corporate development at Norigen Communications and Loblaws.
Gerry O'Reilly earned a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting from Memorial University of Newfoundland in the years 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued further education at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 1995 to 1997, where they earned a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) degree in the field of Accounting. Finally, Gerry completed their education at the Ivey Business School at Western University from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained an MBA degree with a focus on Finance.
