Sumit Vijay

Sumit Vijay has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technological roles. Sumit started their career at Doctors of BC as a Software Development Manager from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they joined MediaValet Inc. as a Project Manager for a brief period of two months. Later that year, they joined autoTRADER.ca as a Senior Development / Project Manager, Mobile until 2013.

In 2014, Sumit joined autoTRADER.ca again, but this time as a Senior Solutions Architect until 2015. Sumit then worked at Kit and Ace as a Senior Product Manager from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, they co-founded Swiggle Inc., where they played a pivotal role.

Sumit returned to autoTRADER.ca in 2017 and held the position of Director of Software Engineering until early 2018. Following this, they served as the Vice President of Software Engineering until mid-2023. Currently, they hold the esteemed position of Chief Technology Officer at AutoTrader.ca, starting from May 2023.

Sumit Vijay has a strong educational background in technology, computer science, and economics. Sumit completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Manitoba from 1994 to 1999. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the same institution, from 2000 to 2004. Sumit further advanced their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Technology at Simon Fraser University, attending from 2011 to 2013.
