Daniel Chaves has amassed a diverse range of experiences throughout their career. Daniel started with ArthroCare Corporation in 2006, where they worked as a Quality Technician and IT Support Technician. In these roles, they were responsible for executing environmental monitoring, collecting product samples, providing support to users, managing inventory, and assisting with labeling systems.
In 2010, Daniel joined HP as an ISS Customer Service Representative. Daniel provided technical support for server and storage solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Daniel supported various technologies such as Windows Server, Linux Red Hat, VMware, and Rack Mount & Blade Servers.
Following their time at HP, Daniel moved to St. Jude Medical in 2010. There, they first worked as an IT Technician II, where they installed and supported hardware and software components for administrative and manufacturing operations. Daniel also played a pivotal role in planning and procuring hardware and software for business growth and continuity. Later, they advanced to the role of Systems Analyst II, working closely with organizations to design and implement IT solutions according to business needs. Daniel implemented and supported systems like MES, EMS, and enterprise labeling systems, ensuring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Additionally, they designed and implemented a web system for global operation metrics.
Lastly, Daniel joined TradeStation in 2016. Initially, they worked as a Datacenter Operations Specialist, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team responsible for the health and function of financial systems across multiple locations. Daniel acted as a liaison between business operations and IT system owners, resolving customer-related issues. Later, they became a Data Center Operations Supervisor, leading a team that ensured business continuity and delivered quality results. Daniel focused on developing the strengths of their team members and improving internal systems and processes to meet KPI goals and organizational objectives. Currently, they hold the position of Operations Manager at TradeStation.
Daniel Chaves obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology at Universidad Interamericana de Costa Rica, attending from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Extreme Ownership Muster 016" from Echelon Front in April 2023, "AWS: Cost and Performance Optimization" from LinkedIn in August 2022, and numerous other certifications related to AWS, DevOps, and leadership from LinkedIn and different institutions. Daniel also obtained a Leadership Bootcamp certification from Florida Atlantic University in March 2020, an ITIL V3 certification from PEOPLECERT, and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Performance Excellence Solutions PXS, the dates of which are unspecified.
