Maren Peters

Maren Peters is an experienced professional in the field of sourcing and project development, currently serving as the Sourcing Development Manager for Africa at Tradin Organic since October 2016, with a focus on implementing new sourcing projects. Prior to this role, Maren held positions including Intern Sourcing at Tradin Organic, where efforts were concentrated on developing organic product value chains in Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast. Additional experiences include serving as a Junior Consultant at Endeva, where Maren conducted a feasibility study for a co-packer social business in Rwanda, and internships at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Agro Eco- Louis Bolk Institute, focusing on market strategies for rice value chains in Sierra Leone and the economic performance of cocoa farmers in Ghana, respectively. Maren holds a Master of Science in Organic Agriculture from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor's degree in International Development Management from the University of Applied Sciences Van Hall Larenstein.
