Michael Ayala

Michael Ayala has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Michael began their career as an Account Executive at Direct Energy in 2004 and worked there until 2007. Ayala then joined Tradition Energy, where they held multiple roles, including Manager from 2007 to 2009, Director from 2009 to 2012, Senior Director from 2012 to 2016, and Executive Director from 2016 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director at Tradition Energy. Tradition Energy is a leading independent energy risk management and procurement advisor, helping clients manage energy price risk exposure and reduce energy expenditures.

Michael Ayala attended Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a degree in Marketing. During their time at the university, they focused on studying Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In addition to their degree, Michael also pursued further certifications. In 2006, they obtained the certification of Certified Energy Consultant from Enerdynamics. Four years later, in 2010, they became a Certified Energy Professional through the Texas Energy Professionals Association. Their most recent certification is in Organizational Leadership, which they obtained from Harvard Business School in July 2023.
