Heather Jenkins

Senior Director Of Revenue Operations at Traditions Health

Heather Jenkins has a diverse and extensive work experience. Heather started their career as a Health Information Manager at Acadia Healthcare in May 2011 and worked there until April 2013. Heather then joined Elements Behavioral Health as a Medical Coding Manager from April 2013 to December 2017. Heather further progressed their career and became the Medical Coding Manager at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance from January 2016 to August 2019. During this time, they led a coding team of 14 employees and implemented various strategies to improve coding and data management. Afterward, Heather joined 7 Springs Orthopedics, where they worked as the Director of Revenue Cycle from December 2019 to December 2022. In this role, they implemented revenue cycle scorecards, performed facility audits, and achieved significant reductions in denial rates. Currently, Heather is working at Traditions Health as the Senior Director of Revenue Operations, starting in February 2023.

Heather Jenkins attended Volunteer Community College from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained an Associates of Allied Health degree with a specialization in Health Information Management. Heather then pursued further education at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Information Systems with a focus on Healthcare Information Management. Heather also holds certifications as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC, and as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) from the American Health Information Association (AHIMA).
