Jon Thomson

Jon Thomson is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Head of IT Operations at Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council since January 2020. Previously, Jon held several key positions at Places for People Group, including IT Director, where responsibilities included overseeing ICT services for 3,500 users across 25 sites in diverse sectors such as affordable housing, construction, and leisure management. Other roles at Places for People Group ranged from IT Services Manager to Senior Computer Operator. Jon began their career as a Computer Operator at P&O Ferrymasters.
