Viena Rainio

Viena Rainio is a public sector professional with over a decade of experience in advancing human rights, equality, and inclusion in governmental and international roles. Currently, they serve as a Senior Specialist at the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom), focusing on operational gender equality and non-discrimination initiatives. Previously, they held significant positions in Finnish public administration, including leading the development of accessibility supervision. Early in their career, they coordinated international development projects in Bolivia and supported human rights defenders in Colombia. They have a strong educational background with degrees in Journalism, Corporate Responsibility, and Development Studies.
