Thierry Dutoit

Thierry Dutoit is a prominent figure in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the President of TRAIL - TRusted AI Labs from 2022 to 2023 and as a member since 2021. Since October 2018, Thierry has held the position of Head of Department at ISIA LAB - UMONS. In addition, Thierry has been the Director at Le CLICK since January 2016 and a Full Professor at UMONS since 1999. Previously, Thierry served as an Assistant Professor at Faculté Polytechnique de Mons from 1993 to 1999 and worked as a Consultant in the TTS R&D team at AT&T between 1996 and 1998, during which time a first book on Text-to-speech synthesis was published, contributing to the development of the AT&T Nextgen TTS system. Thierry holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical Engineering from ISIA LAB - UMONS, obtained in 2002, and another PhD in Electrical Engineering from Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, earned in 1993.
