Jovan Hernandez

Jovan Hernandez has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Jovan started their career as a Client Product Specialist at ADP in 2013 and then worked as a Genius Bar Specialist at Apple in 2014. Following that, they provided technical support as a Mac Helpdesk Support Technician at Droga5 and as a System Engineer and Consultant at Mac Tech.

In 2017, Jovan joined true[X] as an IT Administrator, responsible for managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a MacOS and AWS cloud-based environment. Jovan then moved on to work as a Cloud Engineer at HarperCollins Publishers in 2018, where they managed and automated CI/CD pipelines for Linux systems.

In 2020, Jovan joined Capital One as a DevOps Engineer, designing, developing, and supporting technical solutions in a cloud environment. Jovan also served as the Chief Technology Officer at Trailmapper, where they developed and managed cloud infrastructure and databases for a political campaign.

Jovan's career progressed further when they became the Vice President of Cloud Engineering at Third Point LLC in 2021. In this role, they adopted best practices for resilient architecture, developed a disaster recovery plan, and implemented performance efficiency strategies using various tools and technologies.

Currently, Jovan works at Agio as a Solutions Architect, where they collaborate with CIOs, CTOs, and CFOs to provide solutions for systems, operations, and compliance in the alternative investment industry. Jovan serves as a subject matter expert on multi-cloud infrastructures and leverages IaC tools to craft POC solutions for clients.

Throughout their career, Jovan has consistently demonstrated their expertise in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, automation, and system engineering. Jovan has strong skills in various technologies and tools, including AWS, Azure, Terraform, Jenkins, Python, and more.

Jovan Hernandez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resource Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Jovan has obtained several certifications, including the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) from FINRA in May 2023, Algorithmic Trading and Finance Models with Python, R, and Stata Essential Training from LinkedIn in October 2022, Algorithmic Trading and Stocks Essential Training (2018) from LinkedIn in September 2022, Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg in January 2022, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2021.
