Karen Ware

Karen Ware is an experienced education leader currently serving as the Director of Implementation at TRAILS since December 2022. Ware has previously held significant roles at the NACA Inspired Schools Network, including Director of Innovation and Organizational Development and Indigenous Educator Corps Director, from October 2019 to October 2022. Other notable positions include Director of Embark and Education Initiatives and Manager of Embark at New Memphis, along with various roles at Teach For America, KIPP Memphis Public Schools, and Atlas Preparatory School. Ware’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Germanic Studies from Indiana University Bloomington, a Master of Arts in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Coach Certification from Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation.
