Karen Soames (Bracewell)

Karen Soames (Bracewell) has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karen began their career as a Lifequard, Swimming Teacher, and Gym Instructor at Pendle Wavelengths and Seedhill Athletics Club in 2003. In 2006, they worked as a Swimming Teacher, Gym Instructor, and Receptionist at West Craven Sports Centre, before being promoted to Customer Focus Manager at the same facility in 2008. Karen also held the role of Customer Focus Manager at Pendle Wavelengths & Inside Spa in 2009, where they were responsible for managing all areas of the facility and ensuring excellent customer service. From 2010 to 2013, Karen served as the Customer Focus Manager at Pendle Leisure Centre, before transitioning to the role of Training Manager at Pendle Leisure Trust in 2013. In 2016, they became a Business Solutions Consultant at Burnley College and later advanced to the position of Business Development Manager at Bradford College in 2017. Most recently, Karen took on the position of Head Of Business Development at Training 2000 Ltd in September 2019.

Karen Soames (Bracewell) began their education at Colne Primet High School from 1996 to 2001.

After completing high school, they attended Nelson & Colne College from 2001 to 2003, where they pursued a BTEC National Diploma in Public Services.

Following their time at Nelson & Colne College, they enrolled at Burnley College in 2004 and completed a Diploma in Holistic Therapies.

More recently, they have been studying at Bradford College since 2018 and is expected to graduate in 2023 with a Foundation degree in Operational Management.
