Grace Mzumara

Grace Mzumara is a Health Economics Research Fellow at the Training and Research Unit of Excellence (TRUE) since January 2023, where doctoral research focuses on healthcare costs for children under five with severe anemia in Malawi, Kenya, and Uganda. Prior experience includes a Pre-PhD Research Fellowship at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust, leading projects on antimicrobial stewardship, COVID-19 policies, and the impact of pneumococcal vaccines. Grace served as an Emerging Threats Consultant for Malaria No More UK and held roles at the University of Oxford, including Graduate Research Fellow and a student pursuing an MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine. This academic background is complemented by clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health Malawi and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Malawi.
