Marisa Shapiro, CPTM

Marisa Shapiro, CPTM has been working in the professional development and retail industry since 2009. Marisa began their career as a Store Manager at Lady Foot Locker in 2009, where they managed day-to-day business activities and won the Sales Leadership Award every year. In 2015, Marisa joined Training Industry, Inc. as the Director of Professional Development. In this role, they are responsible for making sure the community is aware of educational opportunities and events, and co-leads the Community Outreach team to organize volunteering opportunities with organizations like Ronald McDonald House and Activate Good.

Marisa Shapiro, CPTM has an education history that includes attending Hauppauge High School from 1999 to 2002 and SUNY New Paltz from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations/Image Management. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications: a Leading Leadership Development Certificate from Training Industry, Inc. in February 2020, a Certified Professional in Training Management in May 2016, and a Certified Professional in Training Management, CPTM.
