Bigna Salzmann

Bigna Salzmann currently serves as Team Lead Sustainability at Transa Backpacking AG since May 2025. Prior to this role, Bigna held the position of Sustainability Officer - Circular Technologist & Strategist at FREITAG from October 2020 to March 2025, where responsibilities included leading the sustainability team and developing the company's 2030 strategy. From March 2015 to October 2020, Bigna was involved as a Board Member and Co-Lead of the Work Smart Initiative while also managing corporate responsibility at Swisscom. Bigna's earlier experience includes project management in sustainability at Die Mobiliar and roles in CSR coordination at Chiquita Brands International. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Ecology and Evolution from ETH Zürich, along with a CAS in CSR and ongoing professional development in social entrepreneurship.
