Joseph Valdez

Joseph Valdez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Joseph began their career as a Server at Outback Steakhouse from 2013 to 2016. Joseph then worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Shift4 from 2016 to 2017, where they troubleshooted and managed discrepancies in clients' accounts. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst at MZ, performing manual testing and managing tickets and defects. Joseph then served as an Account Setup Coordinator at Shift4 from 2018 to 2019, ensuring effective communication between clients and leadership. Joseph then joined PLAYSTUDIOS as a Quality Assurance Analyst from 2019 to 2020, specializing in API and platform testing while managing sprints in Azure DevOps. Currently, they work at TransAct® Technologies as a Software Automation Engineer, responsible for building and maintaining Selenium Python web automation and serving as the subject-matter expert for iOS.

Joseph Valdez has a diverse education history. Joseph obtained an AS degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Psychology from Hartnell College, which they attended from 2009 to 2012. Following that, they pursued an AS degree in Computer Science at the College of Southern Nevada from 2014 to 2015. Most recently, from 2021 to 2022, they studied Computer Science at Western Governors University and earned a BS degree.

In addition to their formal education, Joseph Valdez has also obtained several certifications. These certifications include the WGU Capstone Excellence Award from Badgr (now part of Instructure) in May 2022, the Advanced HTML5 and CSS Specialist certification from CIW in February 2018, the CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA in January 2018, the Site Development Associate certification from CIW in January 2018, the Computing Fundamentals certification from Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business in July 2015, the IC3 Digital Literacy Certification from Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business in July 2015, and two Key Applications certifications, also from Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business, obtained in July 2015.
