Chris Staples

Chris Staples, CFA, is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in managing substantial assets. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Advisory Services at Transamerica Funds since November 2004, Chris oversees approximately $100 billion in mutual fund, variable annuity, and retirement plan assets. In addition, Chris holds the title of Senior Vice President and Senior Director of Investments at Transamerica Asset Management, also since November 2004, and is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Transamerica Asset Allocation Horizon Funds. Previously, Chris worked at Raymond James & Associates from October 1995 to November 2004 as an Assistant Vice President, managing a team that provided mutual fund research to financial advisors. Chris holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and an AB in Economics and Music from Stanford University.
