Nicole Shumaker has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nicole currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development at Trans Astronautica Corporation since March 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Principal and Business Development Consultant at NSC International starting in 2017.

From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Reseller Sales Manager for the US and Canada at Integrated Environmental Solutions Ltd. (IES Ltd.), where they recruited, trained, and managed Autodesk Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and provided training on software capabilities and sales processes.

Shumaker was the Director of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Market Development at Applied Software from 1999 to 2008. In this role, they played a key role in promoting BIM adoption and building community among early adopters. Applied Software became one of the top three resellers nationwide during their tenure.

Nicole began their career as a math and Spanish teacher at Atlanta Country Day School in 1997 and worked as a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology from 1993 to 1997. Their work at Georgia Tech involved atmospheric research, including modeling complex systems, analyzing hydrocarbon emissions, and creating emissions data.

Nicole Shumaker has a Bachelor's Degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Nicole also holds a Professional Education Certification in Solar Energy- Capturing the Sun from MIT Professional Education. Additionally, Nicole has obtained a Professional Education Course Certificate in Clean Tech and Finance from Stanford University Continuing Studies.
