Laura Owens

Laura Owens, Ph.D., CESP is the President of TransCen, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to improving educational and employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Laura is also a Professor at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in the Exceptional Education department. Laura has a wealth of experience in the field, having previously owned Creative Employment Opportunities, Inc. (CEO), and served as the Executive Director of APSE, leading the advancement of equitable employment for individuals with disabilities. Laura holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Rehabilitation Counseling and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
