Maya Burke

Maya Burke has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. In 2014, they were an Assistant Organic Farmer for WORLD WIDE OPPORTUNITIES ON ORGANIC FARMS. In 2017, they were an English Teaching Intern for GuriaIndia, where they facilitated after school activities, focused on learning English, for at risk youth. In 2018, they were an English Language Assistant for the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA, where they collaborated with teachers to plan lessons and activities for various age groups and levels of English proficiency. In 2022, they will begin their role as an Intern for EDC (Education Development Center). Currently, they are a Program Manager for Lana Learn.

Maya Burke is currently pursuing a Master of Education in International and Comparative Education at The George Washington University. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2018. In 2017, they participated in a Study Abroad Program in India at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Maya also attended Southwest Senior High School from 2008 to 2013.
