Ifeoma Okafor-Obi

Ifeoma Okafor-Obi is an experienced leader, youth advocate and public speaker, with years of experience spanning various sectors including philanthropy and FMCG.

She is the Business Development Director at Aura by Transcorp Plc, a digital booking hub for accommodation, food, and great experiences in Africa, where she steers the team towards business growth.

Prior to joining Transcorp Hotels Plc as the Business Development Director Aura, she served as the Director of Entrepreneurship Programme at Africa’s leading entrepreneurship-focused philanthropy, the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF). There, she oversaw the operations of the Foundation’s flagship entrepreneurship programme and its pan-African alumni network.

Before joining TEF, Ifeoma was the Chief Executive Officer of 360 Brains & Brawn Ltd where she designed and implemented the CEO hub, a series of lectures and interventions to upskill SME CEOs.

She has also worked across Sub-Saharan Africa in multinationals like Procter & Gamble, Diageo and Coca-Cola international.

Ifeoma holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria. She is an Associate of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria, and she holds the International Certificate of Corporate Governance and Independent Directors certificate.

An author and speaker, Ifeoma has shared her thoughts on global stages in various conferences including the Dakar International Forum on Peace & Security and ILO 14th Africa Regional Meeting, the launch of Creating Decent Jobs- Strategies, Policies, and Instruments (AFDB) in Abuja, and AU - 1st West Africa Start Ups Summit. She has served as a judge for entrepreneurship competitions such as the 2020 Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) Global Finals at the Misk Global Forum.

Ifeoma is the 2021 John E. Pepper Humanitarian award winner, conferred by the past Procter & Gamble Global CEO John E. Pepper to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the human condition through their time, effort, or expertise.
