Dr. Natasha Vita-More is an internationally recognized scholar, designer, and artist specializing in the field of human enhancement and the ethics of emerging technologies. Natasha is the founder of the Transhumanist Arts & Culture movement, and the co-founder and current advisor of Transdisciplinary Agora for Future Discussions Inc.
Dr. Vita-More’s research in the fields of human enhancement, technological augmentation, AI/AGI, nanotech, and Computation Avatars is seminal. With over two dozen articles in academic books and journals, their writings have established future scenarios used by business. Her research on human futures as contributed to the Humanities, Ethics, Philosophy, and Futures Studies departments.
In 2012, Dr. Vita-More was appointed Track Co-Chair of ISDC Global. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of the conference’s tracks, which included topics such as space exploration, technology and society, and futurist thought.
From 2011 to 2012, Dr. Vita-More served as Co-Chair of Parsons School of Design’s Futures Initiative. In this role, they oversaw the development of educational programs that explored how design can shape the future.
From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Vita-More served as Track Advisor for Singularity University. In this role, they advised students on how to use technology to solve global problems.
Natasha Vita-More studied for their Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Plymouth in the Department of Media & Technology. Natasha then went on to study for a Master of Philosophy in Technology and Future of Humanity also at the University of Plymouth. Natasha has a Master of Science in Future Studies from the University of Houston and also studied at the University of California, Los Angeles.
